Install the filters and restart your copy of PhotoImpact. Open the wd-tulip object that you downloaded.
Ctrl+D twice and close the original. Minimize one of the duplicates. Set your foreground color to a red color from your
tulip object. I am using: #CA2C45. Set your background to a green color from your tulip object. I am using: #637A42.

Hit the Enter key on your keyboard to deselect the tulip object if it is selected. In the Menu bar go to Edit: Fill - Gradient tab. Fill type: Circular.
Fill color: Two Color. Set the first color box to your green background color and the second box to your red foreground color and click OK.

Right click and Merge All. In the Menu bar go to Photo: Blur - Gaussian blur - Options. Radius: 25.

In the Menu bar click: Effect - DSB-Flux - Linear Transmission with these settings:

Effect: FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss. Please use these settings:

At this stage my image looks like this, showing just a part of the whole image.

Open the tulip object that you minimized earlier. In the Menu bar go to Adjust: Resize. Resize the image and object to 85% using these
settings:

Using the Pick Tool, drag the tulip object to your other canvas. Right click: Align - Center Horizontally. Right click: Align - Bottom.
Keep selected. Go to Photo in the menu bar - Focus and click the 3rd thumbnail on the top row:

Right click: Shadow. Apply a black shadow using these settings:

Right click: Merge All.
In the Menu bar click Adjust: Expand Canvas. Expand your canvas equally with 3 pixels using your green background color:

Right click: All. Right click: Convert to Object. Right click:
Copy (this will copy the image to the clipboard. We will need it 2 times later) and deselect.
Open a new white canvas, click the Active Image box:

In the Menu bar: Adjust and resize the white canvas by 115%.

Right click: All. In the Menu bar click on Edit: - Paste - Fit into Selection (PI will fill the selection with the image we copied to the clipboard earlier)

Keep selected. In the Menu bar click: Effect - Scribe - 4 Way Mirror with the default settings.
Note: If you can't get the Scribe filter to work on your machine, try the
Simple Filters plugin.
The Center Tile filter gives a great result too.
Keep selected. In the Menu bar go to Photo: Focus and click the third thumbnail on the top row.
Right click: Merge All.
Right click: Paste. (your copy of the first image should still be on the clipboard).
Right click: Align - Center both and
deselect.
With your Base Image active,

go to Web in the Menu bar - Button Designer - Any shape with these settings:

It would be nice to put some depth in the image. We can't use the outer image for a drop shadow
because it is not an object, so we will use Paint on Edges instead. Click on the centered tulip image to select it.
In the Tool Panel on the left change to the Airbrush. Color: #344022 and with these settings:

On your keyboard press Shift+P
twice to paint a shadow effect on the image.
Right click: Merge All. Change to your Text Tool and with a font of your choice add a greeting to your card.
Add your name or watermark, optimize and save your image. I hope you will enjoy this tutorial as much as I liked
