You can drag this pointer as you go to keep track of your place in the tutorial.

Open the wd-soft.jpg, Ctrl+D to duplicate it and close the original. Set your foreground colour to: #C90200 and your background colour to: #FEBFB7

Menu bar: Adjust - Expand Canvas (Shift+N). Expand your canvas with 1 pixel (Expand sides equally: checked) colour: Foreground colour.
Expand your canvas, this time with 5 pixels: Background colour. Add another 1 pixel border using the Foreground colour.

Rc.: Copy. Open a new canvas, check the Active Image radio button to get an image of the same size as the rose mage.

Menu bar: Adjust - Resize. Resize this new canvas to 140%.

Rc.: Paste. The rose object should be floating in the top left corner of your new canvas. Rc.: Duplicate. Rc. Duplicate. You now have a total of 3 rose objects in your
Layer Manager.

Rc. on the active top image object and Align - Center Both.
Select the the second rose object in your Layer Manager

Rc.: Align - Bottom. Rc.: Align - Right.
Your image should look similar to this:

Make sure that your centered image object sits on top of the other two.
Deselect. Rc.: All to select the white Base Image. Menu bar: Edit - Paste - Fit Into Selection. Deselect.

Change to your Text Tool. Background colour. Mode: 2-D. Border: 1 pixel Foreground colour. Using your favourite font add a greeting to your card.

Rc.: Select All Objects. Rc.: Merge as a Single Object. Rc.: Shadow with these settings:

Deselect. Open the Laura corner ufo from the download and drag the corner to the top right of your image like so:

Rc.: Duplicate. Using the Transform Tool Flip this obejct Horizontally and then Verically

and put in place in the corresponding bottom left corner. Select both these corners and Merge as a Single Object. Rc.: Align - Center Both.
Rc.: Merge All. Optimize and save your work as a jpg. You're done!
