Instructions:
  • Part 3: Creating the Image.
Maximize your flower object. Using the Pick Tool, press the Ctrl button on your keyboard and drag a copy to your hortensia ufo. Minimize the flower object. Move the flower to the left part of your green background. Right click: Properties: Left: 26 Top: 65. Shadow: First icon 2 - 2 - 65 100 7.

Change to the Outline Drawing Tool. It should still have the same settings and shadow as we used for the inner frame. Draw another shape of any size. Right click: Properties: Use these settings:

Duplicate the rectangle. Adjust: Resize to 85%. Make sure that: Apply to Selected Object is ticked.

Photo - Focus - 3rd thumbnail on the top row. Duplicate once more and resize again to 85% using the same settings. Apply Focus with the same settings. Select the 2 resized objects - Arrange: Send to Back. Keep selected. Using the arrow buttons on your keyboard click the right arrow key 5 times, then using the down key, click that button 5 times too. Deselect. Select the layer with the smallest rectangle and repeat the procedure with the arrow keys. 5 clicks to the right and 5 clicks down. Deselect. At this point my image looks like this:

Let's continue with the right side of the image. Open the corners10-lv shape. Drag it to your hortensia canvas. Resize to 75 x 75 pixels. Fill it with the gold image and apply a shadow: First icon - 1 - 1 - 40 - 100 - 0.

Right click: Properties: Left: 243 Top: 23.
Duplicate and Flip Vertically. Properties: Left: 243. Top: 349.
Select both corners and Merge as a Single Object. Duplicate and Flip Horizontally.
Properties: Left: 450. Top: 23.

Open the lv-misc15 shape and drag it onto your hortensia image. Transform Tool: Rotate the shape 90 degrees. Resize the shape to 30 x 250 pixels

Open your Material Box - Color/Texture tab. Click on File and browse to your gold fill image in the hortensia folder on your desktop. Duplicate the shape. Using the Path Drawing Tool change the Mode to Selection:

Right click: Expand/Shrink. Shrink the selection with 1 pixel. Convert to Object. Arrange: Bring to front. Select both parts of this shape and Merge as a Single Object. Place them on your image like this:

Duplicate the shape and move it to the same position on the right side of the image.

Change to your Text Tool. I am using the Architext Regular font. Size: 26. Color: White. I typed my initials and put them here:

Shadow: First icon. 1 - 1 - 50 - 100 - 0. I decided to make a Birhday card with this image. Using the same font I typed my text on the right side of the image. You can use it for a birthday, an anniversary or whatever you like. Maybe you want to add another image. Let your imagination run wild ;-).

When you are ready, Merge All , optimize and save your image to your hortensia folder.

If you are going to resize the image, make sure you use the Focus command again, otherwise your gold will look dull ;-).

That is all, I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial as much as I liked writing it for you.
