For this tutorial you need to load PhotoImpact's Full Edit Workspace, so all tools will be availble:

Open the wd-delft-colours.jpg. Open the wd-delft-clipart image. Hit Ctrl+D on your keyboard to duplicate and close the original.
We are going to turn this image into a mask. In the Menu bar: Adjust - Convert Data Type - Grayscale. Depending on your settings,
PhotoImpact will create a new grayscale image or convert the original image to grayscale.

Click to open a new white canvas and in the dialogue box that opens, check the Active Image box like so. PhotoImpact will create a new image
with the same dimensions as the mask. If you would make the new image larger, you will get lines around your mask. We don't want that.

Right click on the new image and select: Import Selection. In the box that opens you will see the mask we just created.

Click OK. Rc.:
Invert. Rc.: Convert to Object. Keep selected. Menu bar: Edit - Fill - Color tab. Rc.: on the small color box and select Color on Screen.
